Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

Sorry, folks, not a baseball post. (I'm RSSed on Baseballblogs.com, for instance, and I feel like people don't like if they think I'm talking Yanks when I'm talking furniture).

I had inquired into getting a futon versus a couch earlier. Many thanks to Hell in a Handbasket for highlighting my problem and sending over traffic and thoughts. Thanks for the comments, too, to those who asked on the blog and off.
Well, after much delay and actually obtaining money, I've settled upon a main sitting piece of furniture for my extremely humble abode. I went with a futon from the place down the street, but one that has an 8-inch thick mattress (as opposed to the crummy 6-inch ones). The mattress also has coiled springs. It's supremely comfortable, and a softer feel than you'd expect a futon to provide.

So, because I absolutely have nothing better to do, I even took a picture of the damn thing. I've sunk to a new low.

The apartment still needs some filler, but since I don't spend a lot of time in it and I really don't need any more useless things than I already have, I'm not too concerned about the sparseness.
