I sure hope so. Read the comments on the Bronx Banter link. Mel does not have a great track record, as my friends Mike and Arnauld have told me for years, and it's amazing how much the pitchers who do turn things around do it because of the help of others.
However, I don't see why Mazzone would suddenly leave. The Braves are almost as marquee a franchise these days as the Yanks, and have been for about 10 years now. It may be simply wishful thinking. As the Bronx Banter commenter Knuckles says, "I'm interested in banging Scarlet Johannsen, but that doesn't mean it might happen. "
Can't wait for the Google hits on that one, and all the disappointed visitors when they realize it's a baseball post.
