EDIT: Another mention of Albert, especially his military experience.

Why mention him? Well, I'm not a big "Green Acres" fan, but this is a huge loss in television lore, even if he did have Alzheimer's the last several years. Furthermore, he was 99 damn years old. Congratulations are in order for that.

Beyond that, one acting point and one personal point. He was nominated for an Oscar 52 years ago for "Roman Holiday," the Audrey Hepburn classic, and also appeared in 1974's "The Longest Yard," the remake of which is about to debut.

Personally, he was awarded a Bronze Star in WWII for heroic actions. Another hero with us in memory only.
