Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

ESPN.com story

I don't get into a lot of the calm (some might say boring) music, although I like some sort of melody in even the heaviest stuff I listen to. But Jack Johnson has really grown on me, to the point where I'm all about his new album that came out two weeks ago. It's more consistent than his first album (I haven't really listened to the second album), and the short song lengths (none over 3:34) keep the quiet strumming melancholy from drifting off into jams that don't go anywhere.
"Sitting, Waiting, Wishing" is my favorite at the moment. The whole album, though, is definitely worth checking out.
