Afternoon Baseball

I got the call today. No, not the call from God to be a priest, or from the draft board, but the call to be offered a Dow Jones copy editing internship. And I damn well accepted it.
Here's the deal:
Graduate Loyola College May 20
Fly to University of Missouri School of Journalism May 22
Two-week workshop
Fly to Minneapolis June 3
Starting June 6, work at the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, or The Strib, as they like to call it, for 10 weeks and actually make a little money
My real future begins circa August 15

Thank God for John McIntyre and his stellar reputation for getting me this.
So yeah, I have a future, temporarily, in something I want to do.
